Signs Your Yard Needs Regrading
Water pooling after a rain, a rough ride on the mower, soggy spots that never dry out, ruts left over from construction, and water running toward the house instead of away from it are all signs the grade is working against you. Most of these are fixed by regrading the ground, not by adding more dirt on top.
Grading and Drainage Go Together
The goal of any grade is to move water away from your home and outbuildings and toward a place it can leave the property. We look at the whole yard, including downspouts, driveways, and low corners, so the finished grade solves the problem rather than moving it somewhere else. Where grading alone can’t move enough water, a French drain or swale can carry it away.
Yard Leveling
A yard that is rough to mow or full of ruts usually needs leveling. We take down the high spots, fill the low ones, and smooth the surface so the mower rides evenly and rain runs off instead of sitting in dips. Leveling and grading go together: the finished yard should be smooth and still pitched away from your house and outbuildings.

Hillside regrade. A hillside left rutted by another company’s pond fill job was stripped of grass, covered with fresh pulverized topsoil, regraded to a smooth, even grade, then seeded and strawed.
Yard regrade in Anderson. The yard was regraded to drain toward a newly replaced culvert, then seeded and strawed.
